Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) by way of expressing their acknowledgement to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Chumukedima Village Council (CVC) conducted a mass social work cum luncheon programme at its office premises on Wednesday attended by about hundreds of NGOs, Mother’s Association, Students Union, GB7DBs and tribal leaders.
It may be mentioned that, Chumukedima village council donated the plot of land for construction of the council’s administrative office and conference hall, which is currently completed and functional.
Talking to this reporter, Neichu-u Kuotsu, chairperson, CTC said Chumukedima being a newly upgraded full-fledged civic body has enormous tasks to undertake and perform for the people of Chumukedima town. While expressing gratitude to the DAN government led by Neiphiu Rio, the council also thanked H Khekiho, MP Rajya Sabha for extending financial help during the construction of CTC office building as well as the council hall. The chairperson also thanked the public for coming forward to render their service for a common cause.
