A ‘GPRN/ NSCN’ activist was critically injured when he was shot on the head by three unidentified gunmen who came in a Maruti car, Sunday afternoon at 2 ½ Mile, Dimapur. Police who reached the spot of the incident, rushed the injured to Dimapur Civil Hospital. He was later shifted to Zion Hospital, Dimapur. The injured was later identified as ‘Lt’ Avikhe Chophy, son of Hokheto Chophy of Yehemi Village under Zunheboto district. Police recovered an empty case of .32 from the spot.
