Achieving a milestone towards the development of education at Süthozoumi village, DEO Phek, Zaveyi Nyekha officially inaugurated Government Middle School and room extension constructed under SSA scheme on Saturday at Süthozou Village, Phek.
Stating this in a release Vekho P. Ringa said during the inaugural function chief guest, Zaveyi Nyekha asserted that government is giving priority list to the upliftment of education by providing all necessities and urged the parents to do their duty by inspecting the uniform, books and pencil of their children.
Referring to Communitization, he said it is a people’s movement programme, where every individual has a right and important role to play. Village education Committee chairman, Murhaveyi in his speech stressed that the Department could not make any appointment or post creation of any category so far for the Middle section and urged the Government to consider the case and take necessary action. Concerning proxy-teacher, DIS Nuvotsolu assured that the Department would re-deploy and strictly look into the matter.
Shevozo Project asst., DMA declared that Grants of Teaching learning education, monetary help and toilet for girls would be provided within two weeks.
It may be mentioned that in the year 2003, Süthozou Village was recognized as Model Village with 259 households, with a private school, Education Guarantee School and Government Middle School with six appointed teachers, 170 students and nine rooms. The village is 84 kilometers away from Kohima.
