Nagaland: TNR backs ENPO’s stand

Endorsing the unwavering stand of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation(ENPO) over the issue of Frontier Nagaland Territory, the Naga Rising , said the people of eastern Nagaland have endured repeated deception by those in power, particularly the BJP, which has long promised “Frontier Nagaland” without delivering.
It said that despite pressure, the ENPO stood firm, justifying their abstention from the ongoing Lok Sabha election. Their peaceful protest demonstrates a democratic right to dissent.
Further TNR also noted that recent events echoed historical moments of Naga unity, notably the 1951 plebiscite. While some succumbed to false promises, the ENPO remained steadfast, demanding solutions over elections. TNR further maintained that support for the ENPO was crucial during this time of challenge and reminded that the government must regain their trust through respectful dialogue.
TNR also said ENPO’s willingness to compromise for the greater Naga fraternity by accepting the proposal for Frontier Naga Territory (FNT), deserves recognition. Eastern Nagaland exemplifies unity and resilience, a beacon for collective action and the pursuit of justice said TNR adding that efforts towards an amicable resolution, empowering the FNT, must persist.
