Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBSG), HQ gate, constructed by the Classic Club, Kohima was formally inaugurated by Chotisüh Sazo, parliamentary secretary social and welfare and women development on Tuesday at NSBSG Bayavü, Kohima.
In his address, Chotisüh Sazo congratulated Classic Club for NSBSG gate (constructed at the cost of around rupees one lakh) and stated the gate would stand as a “monument” and add to the beauty the Kohima city.
He also urged upon the Classic Club to further work for the uplifement and weaker section of society in the state and lauded their yeoman services.
The parliament secretary also said that there wre thousand registered Societies and NGO’s in the state, but regretted many of those did not even follow their aim and objectives to serve the society and has become a “money monger orientated society”.
He also called upon NSBSG to continue to spread the scouting and guides movement in the state and to make a better place to live in.
In his welcome address K. Peseyie, State Chief Commissioner, NSBSG thanked the Classic Club for coming forward and construct the gate and pointed out the compound premises on many occasion were being misused by anti-social activities, specially during night time, but exuded confidence that with the coming-up of the gate , now the anti-social activities will be prevented.
Earlier the function was chaired by K. Neibou Sekhose, President Classic Club, Kohima, prayer was offered by Neikhrienyü, pastor , BMC, Kohima, special number was given by Ms. Kezevinuo and the vote of thanks was rendered by Zakie-o Metha, State secretary, NSBSG.
