Konyak Union reaffirms support for ENPO’s FNT demand

Konyak Union (KU) has reaffirmed its commitment to uphold the directives and decisions of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) concerning the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue.
A joint resolution signed by KU president Tingthok Konyak, KNSK president Ponglem Konyak and KSU president T Noklem Konyak also stated that the Konyak Union, in line with KU Standing Resolution No.3, would “steadfastly support” the FNT demand and “shall not retreat from this stance.” The resolution was passed at a meeting held at KU Hall, Mon HQs on April 27, 2024 recognising the significance of maintaining solidarity and upholding the rights of the Konyak people.


It was also resolved that in the event of any political or governmental repercussions faced by MP (Rajya Sabha) S. Phangnon Konyak and Konyak legislators due to their abstention from voting in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, the Konyak civil society organisations “pledge unwavering support to protect them at all costs.”
Further, the meeting resolved that Konyak people would uphold the resolution adopted on February 23, 2024, at Chenmoho meeting to abstain from participating in any central or state elections.
