Central team inspects healthcare facilities in Zbto

A central monitoring team from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW), government of India, inspected all the health centres under “Aspirational Blocks Program” for Akuhaito block in Zunheboto district on May 9-10.


A press release by the department of Health and Family Welfare (DoH&FW) informed that the team led by MoH&FW, Central Nodal Officer (CNO), Narendra Kumar Oza and Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Nagaland and nodal officer in-charge of Zunheboto district, Dr. J. Hokugha Sema, visited all the health centres under the aspirational block with the district officials.


The inspection was also attended by the EAC Atoizu, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P and District Programme Officer (DPO) Zunheboto, Dr. N Mhonchan Kithan, along with their respective teams.
On the first day, the team visited Asukhuto Health and Wellness Centre (HWC), Atoizu Primary Health Centre (PHC), Apukito Sub Centre (SC), Lokobo HWC. A brief meeting was also held with the DC Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali at the DC Zunheboto Office Chamber.


On the second day, the team visited Sukomi HWC, Akuhaito HWC, Rotomi SC and Philimi SC and returned to Kohima. On reaching Kohima, a short debriefing meeting was held at Hotel Vivor with the officials from the directorate. The meeting discussed the key performance indicators and various drawbacks faced by the aspirational blocks.


The meeting was also attended by National Health Mission (NHM) Nagaland mission director, Dr. Akuo Sorhie, SPO (NHM), Dr. Mereninla and deputy director (NHM), Dr. Manyu Phom.
