NSUP celebrates 28th Freshers’ Day

Naga Students Union, Pune (NSUP) celebrated its 28th Freshers’ Day on August 2.
The first session started off with introduction of Freshers and the Mr. and Miss Freshers contest during entertainment session.
Vizokho Zashumo the President of NSUP warmly welcomed and congratulated the Freshers in his presidential address.
He said “We are always open to criticisms that are constructive and not destructive and we are indeed lucky to have the two bodies (NSUP and NCF), who have been playing a vital role in shaping us socially, morally, spiritually and politically”.
The NSUP is also coming up with their official website www.nsupune.com, but is currently under construction.
After discussion hour tantalizing Naga lunch (Pork) with bamboo shoot and Naga King Chilly was served, followed an entertainment by Mary Liza Swu a well known Naga singer and many other artistes also presented different songs during the entertainment program.
It may be mentioned that students from Nagaland University could not take admission in Post Graduate courses in University of Pune (commonly known as the Oxford of the East) due to late declaration of the result, however a good number of Nagas, Manipuris got admitted for various graduate, post graduate, Theology and other courses.
