Ato to remain BJP president

Setting at rest all speculations of possible change of State BJP leadership, BJP National vice president and incharge Nagaland, Jual Oram, has in a letter confirmed that Ato Yepthomi would continue to lead the BJP Nagaland unit as its president.
BJP Nagaland spokesmen TL Merry and Basu Damani in a press release said Oram’s letter was tabled during a combined party meeting of the State office bearers, frontal presidents, cell convenors, present and former legislators held Thursday in Dimapur.
Senior State BJP leaders including Minister for Forest MC Konyak, former minister Imtilemba Sangtam and BJP National Council member Johny G Rengma urged party leaders to remain united and refrain from issuing any public statement, which might adversely affect the image of the party.
