Wildlife Division Dimapur gets pangolin

A rescued Chinese pangolin was handed over to Wildlife Division Dimapur (WDD) by the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie, Tuesday. A press release by WDD stated that the pangolin was handed over to Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar and is under observation by the veterinarian.
Meanwhile, Wildlife Division Dimapur has appealed to the public to report any incidents/findings of wild animals in distress to its office.


The division has also informed that wild animals held captive without the prior permission of the Chief Wildlife Warden was a punishable offence under the WL(P) Act 1972.
