Lok Sabha elections: Training for counting officers; information

Training for the counting officials for the 18th Lok Sabha elections 2024 was held across the state, wherein officials were trained on how to operate Control Unit (CU), Voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).


Mokokchung: The training for the counting officials for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 was held on May 30 at Town Hall, Mokokchung, wherein Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Election Officer (DEO) Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, asked the officials to be diligent and work as a team during the forthcoming counting process.


The DC asked the officials to highlight any problems that may arise during the counting process to the concerned authorities for timely correction.


Wokha: A three-day training for the counting officials commenced on May 30 at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha office.
Counting supervisors, counting assistants, micro-observers, tabulators and technical assistants are attending the three days training programme.


Mon: The training for the counting officials for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 was held on May 29 at Council Hall, Mon Town, wherein Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mon, K. Temjennaro Longkumer, explained the roles and responsibility of the counting officials.
She said that even though there was “zero voting” in the district, everything would be done according to procedure.


Kohima: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, has informed all officials/ staffs appointed as counting supervisors, counting assistants, tabulators and counting micro-observers in connection with the counting process for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 that the second round of training would be held on June 3 at Conference Hall, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima. All concerned officials / staff have been directed to attend the training, failing which disciplinary action shall be taken under relevant sections of the election laws.
