Janata Dal (United) Nagaland unit said that the callousness of major parties of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) was the most instrumental reason that attributed to the failure of the NDPP Lok Sabha candidate Dr. Chumben Murry.
“The superiority complexity manifested at its height so much so that not even a single all party presidential meeting was convened during the whole course of the campaign,” it said.
The party said that the whole planned campaign strategy was closely guarded by few individuals keeping the other political parties in the dark.
This, JD(U) said also speaks for itself that there could be double game players within the major parties, adding that the spirit of campaign from the very beginning was lackadaisical eventually protruding an ugly head of failure.
“No doubt all the legislators of the parties in the opposition-less government need to own moral responsibility but those at the highest helm of affairs must own bigger responsibility and further accept the harsh reality that the majority of the Naga public is not in favour of the present dispensation,” JD(U) stated.
Meanwhile, JD(U) congratulated Subongmeren Jamir of the Congress party for winning the lone Nagaland Parliamentary seat 2024. JD(U) said the party supported PDA candidate Dr. Chumben Murry wholeheartedly.
