Following the death of three IRBn personnel due to heatstroke while on election duty in Bihar, the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has urged both the Central and State governments to provide special attention to cases where jawans on official duty representing the state government face unfortunate incidents.
WSH said that in the event of any unfortunate incidents, quick and efficient measures should be in place.
The hoho said that the news of the tragic demise of three IRB personnel has left the community in deep mourning and shock.
WSH said it was so distressing to learn that the bodies of the jawans reached home very late on the third day only, prolonging the agony of the grieving family members.
WSH, therefore, urged the state government to take immediate action in the future, such as arranging a chopper or a special ambulance to ensure the bodies of the jawans are brought back home without delay.
“Such gesture of respect and compassion would honor the sacrifice made by our jawans and officers in the line of duty and also their bereaved families,” WSH stated.
