Educational institutions organise programmes

Several schools organised programmes for students and faculties as part of the co-curricular activity. St. Xavier HSS: St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Jalukie organised literary cum cultural day celebration from June 27 to 29. During the three-day programme various competitions were held in the categories of Sub-junior, Junior, Senior and Super-senior.


The inaugural function was graced by Joint CEO, NSDMA, Johnny Ruangmai, who apprised the students on the importance of knowing their culture and encouraged the students to be innovative, productive and to be preservative to become agents of disseminating the rich cultural values of the Naga society to the rest of the world.


Hollotoli School: Hollotoli School hosted the 7th Hollotoli Inter- School Quiz Competition on June 29. The event was held in the school’s auditorium where a total of 12 schools participated in the competition. The participating schools were Christian Higher Secondary School, Sainik School Punglaw, Livingstone Foundation International School, G.Rio School, Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Spring Blossoms Academy, Hope Academy, Patkai Higher Secondary, Charis High Academy, Maple Tree School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary and Hollotoli School.


After several rounds of intense quizzing, The Maple Tree School emerged victorious to clinch the coveted rolling trophy. Holy Cross Higher Secondary School secured second position followed by Hollotoli School in third position. In addition to the rolling trophy, the winning teams received individual medals and certificate of achievement.


The prizes were given away by the principal of Hollotoli School. The highlight of the event was the presence of renowned quizmaster and TV anchor Ajay Poonia, who conducted the quiz competition.
LFI: Livingstone Foundation International organized its annual freshers’ meet 2024 on June 29. The function was held at the LFI Auditorium. Numerous entertaining items from the students marked the entirety of the colourful event.


The programme began with the invocation by Moiang Mukho, followed by welcome address by Head Boy of LFI, Kewigiakhai Mpom. Mandira Rai of Grade-XI Science was adjudged as Miss Fresher 2024 while Lohrii Pfoyio also of Grade-XI Science was declared as Mr. Fresher 2024.
