NSCN (I-M) ‘bewildered’at ASSU’s ‘adverse reaction’

NSCN (I-M) has expressed “bewilderment” over what it described as “adverse reaction” of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) towards the “good work” initiated by NSCN (I-M) Wangcho Region “to preserve the natural habitat and ecology of both wildlife and aquatic system” within Wangcho Region, Arunachal Pradesh.

NSNC (I-M) through its MIP stated that the apex student body of Arunachal Pradesh (ASSU) was “acting in defiance of NSCN” when it showed its concern for the need of wildlife conservation and to put a stop to reckless exploitation, which caused the habitats of wildlife including aquatic to be destroyed. NSCN (I-M) said that ASSU’s defiance was tantamount to challenging the geopolitical rights of the Nagas “as defined by the historical and political rights of the Nagas, defended by the movement spearheaded by NSCN.”

In this regard, the NSCN (I-M) has warned the apex Arunachal student body that for its “act of insulting” the Wangcho Region, AAPSU would be held accountable for “deliberately standing up against NSCN/GPRN at the behest of the forces and agencies determined to obliterate the rights of the Nagas from Arunachal Pradesh.”
