Workshop for dissemination of comprehensive UIP Review Development of immunization coverage improvement plan was held on July 3, at De-Oriental Hotel Kohima. A press release by IEC Bureau, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, stated that the workshop was held with a vision to protect every child with vaccine preventable disease through achieving 95% full immunization coverage.
Resource persons, led by Dr. Harpreet Singh, Dr. Kamlesh Kumar, Dr. Sonu Gupta, Dr. Swadesh Prasad, Paras Jain, Dr. Sandeep Rathod, Dr. Mona Chopra, Ashok Sharma, Dr. Rajashree Roy, Mahesh Mishra and Satish Kumar, covered various topics on programme implementation, AEFI & VPD Surveillance, Logistics and Supply chain, data recording and reporting, communication, urban immunization. The workshop concluded with a group work presentation.
The release added that ITSU- Ministry of Health and family welfare conducted comprehensive review of Universal Immunization Coverage in the State from June 11 to 18, and in continuation this workshop in 2023 was held with the cited objective.
