DCs inform on oath of affirmation of elected ULB candidates

The Deputy Commissioners of Zunheboto, Niuland and Dimapur has issued notifications with regard to the oath of affirmation of the newly elected candidates of the recently held Urban Local Bodies election 2024.


Zunheboto: Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali has notified that, in a partial modification to the DC’s Office Notification dated July 2, it is hereby informed to all elected members of Atoizu, Aghunato, Satakha and Zunheboto Town Councils that, the oath of affirmation to be administered has been re-scheduled to July 5, 10 am at Deputy Commissioner Office, Conference Hall.
Niuland: Deputy Commissioner’s office of Niuland in a notification has convened a meeting for all Elected Candidates of Niuland Town Council on July 4, 11 am at DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland wherein, the Oath of Affirmation will be administered to all the elected members of Niuland Town Council in accordance with Section 60 A of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2003 as per the format.

The notification also informed that after the oath taking, the election of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson as per Section 12 (3) and 23 of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2003 will be held for Niuland Town Council. All the elected members of Niuland Town Council have been requested to attend the meeting positively.


Dimapur: DC Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang through a notification has convened a meeting of all the elected members of East Dimapur Town Council on July 4, 11 am. at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner to administer Oath of Affirmation in accordance with Section 60 A of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, after which the election of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson as per section 12 (3) and 23 of the NMA, 2003 for East Dimapur Town Council on July 4. All the elected memebers have been requested to be present for the event.
