KUK, NST flag off bus service

Konyak Union Kohima (KUK) in-collaboration with Nagaland State Transport (NST) Department, flagged off bus service on July 2 from ISBT Kohima. A press statement by KUK, vice president Jeiang Konyak and KUK general secretary Chatyam Konyak stated that the representatives of KUK, KNSK, KSUK, KBBK, and the NST Department attended the program. The First Bus service was availed by nine passengers. While the first bus service from Mon to Kohima with 9 passengers began on July 1. The service was flagged off in presence of representative from KU Mon unit, KUK and NST Department with short prayer from Konyak Pastor KBCM, Rev. H Moba.


Konyak Union Kohima in the statement, expressed gratitude to Advisor of the Transport and Technical Department, Temjenmenba and NST, general manager, Shikaho P. Yepthomi for addressing the issues of the Konyak community. The union also thanked NCP MLA, Mankhao of 46 Mon for the help.
The Konyak Civil Society and NST Department have requested travellers to handle the property with care and to cooperate with the protocol.


The bus service will be available on alternate days, i.e., Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT), Kohima to Mon; and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from Mon to Kohima from the NST station at 1:00 PM. The fare is Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty) only, and free travel for senior citizens (above 60 years) with valid identity proof.
