‘Sampoornata Abhiyan’, a three month campaign from July 4 to September 30, 2024, to undertake a sustained effort to achieve saturation of six key indicators in aspirational districts and six key indicators in aspirational blocks across the country was launched at Akuhaito Aspirational Block. The launching programme was held at DC conference hall, Zunheboto with advisor water resource to Niti Aayog India, Yugal Joshi as guest of honour.
According to DIPR report, Joshi in his speech explained that aspirational district program was started in January 2018 with three main aims i.e to focus on health and nutrition, agriculture and water resource and education, and also financial inclusion in skill development and finally infrastructure.
He said that the central government has launched the Sampoornata Abhiyan with the aim of improving service delivery and governance level in the most backward districts and blocks in the country.
In order to achieve the set development goals in such identified areas, developmental activities were to be promoted by Niti Ayog by determining six indicators.
It included Araria district identified under the Aspirational District Program run by Niti Ayog and Palasi, the only block of the district identified under the Aspirational Block Program.
Under the Sampurnata Abhiyan, Niti Ayog has assessed the availability of text books in secondary schools, from diabetes, blood pressure, etc. The main objective of the program was to bring the desired improvement in it.
Earlier, the program was chaired by Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak, Nodal officer and EAC Atoizu, welcome address and administration of pledge was led by Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali, Akuhaito block presentation was done by Kivikali Achumi.
Short speeches were delivered by Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak, Dr. Akaho Sema, Dy. CMO Zunheboto, Nikheto Zhimo, Sumi Hobo president and Moplin M Phon delivered the vote of thanks.
Kiphire: Chairman DPDB, Kiphire C. Kipili Sangtam MLA graced the launching programme of Sampoorna Abhiyan at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire on July 4.
Kipili in his speech said, NITI Aayog launched Sampoorna Abhiyan, to mark the commencement of a three-month campaign to accelerate development in under developed district and blocks by achieving saturation in selected indicators of Aspirational programme.
He welcomed and encouraged the NITI Aayog team for their good works and for visiting the border area of the district. Kipili appealed to the departments and the public in general to work hard and be prepared mentally and physically to work for the nation.
Pointing out that Kiphire was one of the remotest districts in the country; Kipili urged the government departments to work sincerely and efficiently and complete their assigned projects in time. He also urged the government officials to be transparent and accountable in their assignment.
Kipili also inaugurated the saturation camps and exhibition Stall.
Dr. Shelly Dahiya, Young Professional State Finance & Coordination Vertical & State Nodal Nagaland; Ngayaipam A. Shiway, State Young Professional Nagaland and Limitsung Financial Literacy, Mission Shakti Governor Awardee 2023 also delivered short speeches.
Short Film on Sampoorna Abhiyan was displayed followed by Sampoorna pledge led by Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner delivered the welcome address and the programme was chaired by EAC (HQ) Takatemjen Pongen. Vote of thanks was pronounced by T. Sulanthung SDO (C) & Nodal Officer, ADP.
