NSCN (I-M) withdraws threat to Kohima DC

The NSCN (I-M) Angami Region has withdrawn the “caution notice” earlier served to DC Kohima and his subordinate staffs in connection with flush out operation in Kohima, informed the Northern Angami Public Organization (NAPO).
NAPO president Neitso Sugotsu and general secretary K Neingunyu Sekhose in a press release said NAPO and NSCN (I-M) Angami Region arrived at an agreement that the NSCN (I-M) would not “uphold the caution notice” against the DC and his subordinate staffs.
NAPO also reminded that since the caretaker-cum-CAO, NSCN (I-M) Angami Region was a co-member of the cease-fire monitoring cell (CFMC), any law enforcing agency should respect the ongoing peace process and avoid raids or operations against such members, to “avoid misunderstanding and confusion that may be detrimental to the ongoing progress.”
While appreciating the “positive response” of the NSCN (I-M), NAPO also urged individuals or groups not to issue any press statement that might aggravate the situation.
