Villagers and patients of more than thirty villages under Pungro sub-division, Kiphire district, are going through a hard time due to alleged irregularity of the lone doctor posted at PHC Pungro. Public of Pungro area complained that the lone doctor of PHC Pungro had been quite irregular for the past couple of months, causing immense hardships to patients as well as their attendants, many of who have no means to go to other places for treatment.
Talking to Nagaland Post, senior citizen and social worker of Pungro town, KS Kennedy Yim alleged that about fifteen patients from remote villages under Punro sub-division had died recently due to non-availability of doctor at the PHC. Meanwhile, general public of Pungro area have appealed to the authority for immediate inquiry into conduct of the “errant” doctor and urgent redressal of the grievances.
