Kohima College celebrated the official launch of two ground breaking academic courses: “Naga Indigenous Knowledge System” and “Communicative English & Creative Writing in English”.
According to mass media cell of Kohima College Kohima, the launch event, chaired by associate professor Kevinguno Rose, highlighted the college’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities within Nagaland University’s FYUGP curriculum.
The course on “Naga Indigenous Knowledge System” has been developed by esteemed faculty members Dr. Kekhrieseno Christina, Dr. Konei Nakhro, and Dr. Ketoukhrieü.
The course aims to preserve and promote the rich heritage and traditional wisdom of the Naga people, offering students a unique perspective on indigenous practices and cultural knowledge.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ziuziu Iheilung and Dr. Neikehienuo Mepfhuo introduced the “Communicative English & Creative Writing in English” course. Designed to enhance students’ language skills and creative expression, the course provides a comprehensive approach to mastering English communication and literary creativity.
During the programme, the faculty creators of the courses were felicitated for their contributions. The new courses were expected to significantly enrich the array of subjects available to undergraduate students, aligning with the broader objectives of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) curriculum offered by Nagaland University.
