The 3rd series of workbook on English Communication 1-AECC based on NEP FYUGP Nagaland University authored by Dr Rukulu Kezo and Dr Ruth Z Hauzel under the aegis of Cue Academy, was launched at 2K hotel, here on Friday.
Launching the book, advisor of CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo lauded the two authors and said that coming out with a book was not an easy task. Khamo observed that the new book was the latest workbook, third in a series designed specifically for undergraduate students in Nagaland.
He said the workbook signifies a significant shift from traditional teaching methods, embodying the Cue Academy’s commitment to creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
He highlighted the necessity of integrating practical skills to make education truly effective.
Khamo also referred to the National Policy on Education 2020, which underscores the importance of holistic education that extends beyond textbook knowledge.
The policy emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and life skills alongside academics, aiming to equip graduates for a dynamic and ever-evolving job market.
Khamo said that Nagaland’s education system was also moving towards this holistic vision, with efforts focused on achieving quality and excellence.
He pointed out that while policy changes were essential, the transformation also depends on other factors, notably the pivotal role of teachers.
Expressing his satisfaction with Cue Academy’s initiative, Khamo praised the development of person-centered workbooks aimed at transforming undergraduate classrooms in Nagaland.
Khamo expressed his firm belief that this resource will significantly aid both teachers and students in collaborating effectively in the learning process. He extended his best wishes for the transformative journey ahead.
Earlier, the launch was chaired by independent researcher and freelance editor, Dr Vizovono Elizabeth, and opening prayer by pastor, CBCMHK, Rev Thujoneyi Veswuh.
A note of Cue Academy was shared by Dr Rukulu Kezo while editor, Heritage Publishing House, Dr Lanusangla Tzüdir, shared the publisher’s note.
Introduction of the authors was made by asst prof, department of English, Don Bosco College Kohima, Dr Adenuo Shirat Luikham while Dr Ruth Hauzel shared on the workbook and managing director, Cue Academy, Zhokhoto Puro proposed the vote of thanks.
