Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) has condemned the harassment meted out to a minor girl by two police personnel on July 25 in Mokokchung Town. The girl was returning from tuition with her sister when the incident occurred, leading to altercations with her family, stated AKM vice president Onenpong and education secretary Lanulemba Longchar.
AKM expressed deep concern, emphasizing that law enforcement are supposed to protect, not harm, citizens. AKM demanded an impartial investigation and disciplinary actions against the personnel to uphold public trust in the police.
