Food Safety Awareness seminar at Kijumetouma Village

Food Safety wing Kohima under the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare conducted a Food Safety Awareness (FSA) seminar led by Peterson Pongener, with Dr. Meguovilie Sachu as resource person, along with the team at Kijumetouma Village on July 29.


In a press release, Assistant Food Safety Commissioner (AFSC), government of Nagaland, Peterson Pongener informed that Dr. Meguovilie Sachu, emphasized the seminar’s objective was to raise general awareness of food-borne diseases, nutritional deficiency syndromes, sanitary conditions, food adulteration, and the importance of reading food labels.


The seminar also covered simple at home test AFSC stated that Iodine testing kits for regular salt were also distributed to the participants.
