Nagaland governor La Ganesan and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the Chang community on the occasion of Naknyulüm festival. In a message, Ganesan said Naknyulüm festival, celebrated to signify the triumph of good over evil, “marks our deliverance from darkness” and coincides with the first harvest of the year, making it a joyous harvest festival. The governor prayed that this Naknyulüm festival bring peace and unity among the community.
In a post on X, Rio said Naknyulüm celebrates the triumph of good over evil and prayed that the festival bring blessings of good health, peace, and foster unity and goodwill among all.
Meanwhile, deputy chief minister T.R.Zeliang and deputy chief minister Y Patton also extended greetings to Chang community on the occasion of Naknyulum festival.
Zeliang said that Naknyulum, which is celebrated to mark the victory of light over darkness, was a unique festival. He expressed hope that the occasion would bring joy, peace, unity and blessings to the Changs in particular and Nagas in general.

It was also a time for thanksgiving and celebrations. On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton conveyed heartiest festive greetings and hoped that the festival was celebrated with unity and sense of brotherhood.
