BJP Yuva Morcha Nagaland held its state executive meeting at the party’s head office, here on Friday.
Special guest at the meeting, advisor of Prison, Printing & Stationery, Er Kropol Vitsu, highlighted the various policies and achievements of the party at the Centre.
He expressed disappointment at the various adverse propaganda and slandering of the party in the State, mentioning that after Narendra Modi took the helm at the Centre in 2014, Nagaland has undergone drastic developmental changes.
Vitsu recalled how Nagas suffered untold hardships and violation of human rights under the Congress regime particularly under the prime ministership of Jawaharlal Nehru. He said the atrocities meted out to the Nagas could never be forgotten and that the wounds were still not healed.He said Congress had been in ruling in the country till 2014 and during that time Nagaland was not included in any developmental activities.
Instead, Vitsu said when Manmohan Singh became prime minister for the second time, he blocked the 4-lane project sanctions which Atal Bihari had gifted to the Nagas during his visit.
Even after all those incidents, he said Nagas still adore Congress and was almost on the verge of worshipping it.
He pointed out that Nagaland was undergoing a sea of change under PM Modi with many developmental activities being initiated especially in road developments. He urged the party workers to help in dispelling the false propaganda against BJP doing the rounds in the State and facilitate those people willing to join the party to come and be part of it.
Earlier, short speechs were delivered by state chief spokesperson, BJP Nagaland-Thomas Magh, state co-chief spokesperson-Akum Pongen and national executive member BJYM-Arvind Damani. The programme was chaired by vice president, BJYM, Likao Odyuo, invocation by pastor, Christ Faith Home Ministry, Mhiesiresie Chücha.
