Career guidance program for civil service aspirants

A career guidance program for civil service aspirants was held on August 22 at conference Hall of Phek Government College (PGC).


The program was organized by District Employment Office and DEF Police Phek, in collaboration with PGC and Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union. The program featured key speakers including SP Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, who addressed the syllabus and study materials for competitive exams. She also stressed the importance of exam preparation during graduation and advised against wasting time on drugs or social media.


She suggested leveraging social media and technology for educational purposes and encouraged everyone to follow their career passions and work diligently. Neithozo Theunuo EAC (P) shared his NPSC journey, detailing the exam pattern, strategies, marking, and scoring techniques.


Balong Phom EAC (P) inspired aspirants to be determined and work hard to achieve their exam goals, and outlined the study materials for Nagaland state exams. Zhozoto Nakro (YP) from the Ministry of Labour discussed the Model Career Centre, employment exchange, career counseling, and district-level employment schemes. Earlier the program was chaired by welcome address was delivered by PGC, Principal, T Tiakaba Jamir, and PGC, Assistant Professor, Dr. Nutazo Lohe. Over 100 students attended the programme.
