WSBAK, Church leaders oppose move to lift NLTP Act

Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) through its executive secretary Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema has appealed to the state government to promptly implement the NLTP Act, 1989 with stricter laws and system to curb the sale and consumption of alcohol in the State.


Senior church leaders: Senior church leaders from across the state have expressed shock and concern at the Cabinet’s move to relax NLTP Act 1989 and said that legalising alcohol would not only make it more accessible but could also normalise its consumption.
