A four days off-campus collaborative training program on “Institutionalizing Gender Mainstreaming through ATMA” was conducted from August 20 to 23 at SAMETI, Medziphema, jointly organized by National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management and State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) Nagaland.
A press release by SAMETI informed that the event was graced by director, Agriculture and State Nodal Officer ATMA, C. Peter Yanthan as special guest, with resource persons as deputy director, MANAGE (Gender Studies), Dr. Veenita Kumari, director, Extension Education Institute, North Eastern Region, Dr. Rajumoni Bordoloi, Senior Associate Scientist and Lead Specialist from IRRI, New Delhi, Dr. Sugandha Munshi, joint director, Ministry of Agriculture and farmers Welfare, , Dr. Punam Sharma, and master trainer, Women Resource Development, Sungjemkala. A total of 23 participants from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya attended the training.
