Mon District Task Force on immunization (DTFI) conducted a meeting on August 28 at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma.
The chairman while welcoming the members said that the meeting has been conveyed for a solution to prevent the diseases. He encouraged to form a Block level Task force for the smooth functioning and also to mobilize the challenges in the grass root level.
At the meeting, the DC inquired about the working condition of the vaccine storage like refrigerators/freezers in the district, and encouraged the people for institutional delivery.
Chief Medical Officer, Mon & DTFI member secretary, Dr. Supongmenla Walling gave a power points presentation from ANC to Fully Immunized, in Block wise within Mon district. Dr. K. Elizabeth K, Epidemiologist, gave a PowerPoint Presentation on Measle Rubella Surveillance reports in the district. She also highlighted the suspected Measles outbreak at Chinglong Village and informed that it was under control. District Welfare Officer, Yanlem explained that as per higher authority, the department was providing food supplements to mothers and the children.
