The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has issued a final notice to all shopkeepers, traders, and business establishments operating within its jurisdiction, urging them to renew their trade licenses immediately.
A press release from CEO, DMC Thungchanbemo Tungoe informed that despite multiple reminders and notices, many businesses have continued operations without renewing their licenses, which is a violation of the law and will result in penal action.
The DMC has directed all traders and business owners who have not yet renewed their licenses to do so without further delay. Failure to comply with this order will result in penalties as outlined under Section 130 of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023. The council has stressed that non-compliance will lead to fines and other legal actions against defaulters.
