Innovation in Outsourcing and Marketing Value and Multi-Skill Development Production Unit was launched at the Multi-Skill Development Centre in Longleng district on August 30.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Kivong-Kivheli Foundation as the implementing agency, was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Longleng Manpai Phom as special guest.
A press release from chairperson, Kivong-Kivheli Foundation, P Angbhenla Phom informed that DC Manpai Phom in his address congratulated the Kivong-Kivheli Foundation for theier efforts and highlighted key aspects of potential management of skills and their significance. He encouraged the trainees and beneficiaries to view any skill in terms of its relevance within the ecosystem, underscoring the importance of increasing sales units while minimizing prices.
Chairperson Kivong-Kivheli Foundation P. Angbhenla Phom, expressed gratitude to DC and the executive secretary for their support and contributions to the program’s success. She informed that the project has been sanctioned under the leadership of the chief minister Neiphiu Rio, through the Directorate of Planning and Transformation.
The initiative will be implemented by the Kivong-Kivheli Foundation under the guidance and supervision of the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Kohima. She also detailed the program’s zonal mapping and district-wise execution, introducing the concept of Outsourcing and Market Linkage Shops in the district for further development.
The event was chaired by secretary KKF Alemla Phom and executive secretary PBCA, N. Tialemba Phom, dedicated the program. The event was attended by representatives from civil societies of the district, special invitees, trainers, and trainees.
