Australia to train Naga women

Australian government under its Direct Aid Programme (DAP) has extended support to the Naga women by training them on soft toys making with Naga traditional touch.


According to a press release by Pinnacle Skills, the livelihood enhancement is managed by the Australian Consulate-General in Kolkata. It supports projects that have a strong development focus, contribute to poverty reduction, and strengthen communities in India.
Nagaland based skilling organization Pinnacle Skills is the partner of the program tasked in training the women.


Recently, Dr. Yan Murry, Chief executive of Pinnacle Skills met Hugh Boylan, Australian Consul-General in Kolkata and apprised him about the training progress and also presented him the creations made by the trainees. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Consul-general Kevin Goh and Senior Research and Visit officer Angelina Nair.
