Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement observes Youth Day

Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM) observed the Youth Day on September 8, which is annually observed on Second Sunday of September across various Parishes in the Diocese of Kohima, Nagaland.

The event was observed on the theme, “Those Who Hope in the Lord will Run and not Weary”- Isaiah 40:31.
The observation of the day was led by office bearers of NCYM with the Youth of St. Xavier Church, Zhavame under St. Ignatius Parish, Razeba.
The focal point of the celebration was the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr. Kokto Kurian, director, NCYM. During his homily, he highlighted to the congregation on “Hope, Service, Humility and Openness to God’s Healing Touch”.

After the Holy Mass, a session was conducted with Dr. Rosou Pohena, president, NCYM delivering the presidential greetings. Rev. Sr. Mariam Chothe, MSMHC, Lady Animator, NCYM, enlightened the youth on the theme.
Special number from Zhavame Catholic Youth Association and Mr. Stephen J. Kithan, Vibes Chief Editor, NCYM were the highlights of the day.
The event ended with a futsal match between Razeba Parish Youth and NCYM office bearers.
The event was anchored by Veronica Nriame, general secretary, NCYM.
