NPCC, NGBF, RPP fete Paralympics medallist Hokato Hotozhe Sema

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) and Rising People’s Party (RPP) have extended congratulations to Hokato Hotozhe Sema on winning bronze medal for India in the Shot Put F57 category at the just concluded Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

NPCC through its communications department described the win as “historic” and a proud moment not only for the sporting community but for the entire state of Nagaland.
NPCC said Sema’s tenacity, dedication, and unbeatable spirit was an inspiration to all, especially the youth, and served as another reminder to the centrality of hard work and determination on the path to success.

Wishing him continued success in all his future endeavours, the NPCC prayed that his success paved the way for many more athletes from Nagaland to follow in his footsteps and shine in the world of competitive sports, both in the domestic and international arenas.

NGBF: Nagaland Gaonbura Federation (NGBF) through its media cell congratulated Hotozhe Sema for creating history by winning bronze medal in the F57 shotput event at the Paris 2024 Paralympics and expressed gratitude and happiness over his great achievement.

NGBF also congratulated the state government for “bringing such a pride movement for the Nagas.” The federation expressed gratitude to the government of India for the recognition given to Naga athletes which culminated into a proud moment for all. It expressed hope that the concerned authorities would take care of the welfare of Hokato which he fully deserved.

“Hokato Sema with his hard work, dedication had set a historic record and shown for the young athletes across the country to persuade their dreams of winning medals in the international competitions,” NGBF said. It also wished Hokato Sema a great future and to keep inspiring the younger generations.

RPP: The Rising People’s Party (RPP) has also congratulated Hokato Hotozhe Sema on winning the historic bronze medal in the Men’s F57 Shot put event at the Paris Paralympics Games 2024.

RPP said Hokato’s remarkable achievement showcases his unwavering resilience and determination, despite facing immense challenges.

RPP also commend the state government for announcing a cash reward of Rs. 1.5 crore and recognizing Hokato’s achievements. “Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s commitment to recommending his name for the Arjuna Awards and pursuing his promotion with the Indian Army and Ministry of Defence is a fitting tribute to his exceptional service and achievements,” it stated.
