Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Sharingain Longkumer graced the valedictory function of the Indian Youth Parliament held in Jaipur, Rajasthan on September 17.
According to Khruohituonuo Rio Secretary-In-Charge of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the NLA speaker speaking on the theme, “Empowering the next generation”, highlighted the vital role the young people play in shaping the future of the nation and how their empowerment was essential for sustainable progress.
He also emphasised the need for them to stay grounded, cultivate a strong sense of righteousness and demonstrate obedience in their personal and professional lives. Sharingain further encouraged the students to hold steadfast to moral values, foster integrity and be willing to make self-sacrifices for the greater good. He also underscored that these qualities were essential for shaping not only their own future but also the future of the nation.
