NSCN/GPRN-K led by president ‘lt. gen.’ (Retd) Khango Konyak and ato kilonser Hokato Vusshe and UGN/NNC (PB) led by president Kiuthsangkhiung and general secretary Nupavi Achumi, have reaffirmed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 23, 2024, pledging to work together for an early and peaceful political resolution for the Naga people.
In a statement, NSCN-K (Khango) said that this reaffirmation followed internal conflicts within the “so-called NNC PB)” group led by Z. Royim, who failed to adhere to a 30-day reconciliation directive. As a result, NNC (PB) Royim faction was disassociated from the membership of the NNPA.
NSCN-K (Khango) issued a stern warning to the Royim group for acting in self-interest by collecting taxes without any vision for the Naga national movement. The group said that it would not be held responsible for any complications that may arise it the future.
