Nagaland: HMVs restricted to ply along Dmu-Kma road for 96 hours

In view of the landslide at Old KMC dumping site, movement of heavy motor vehicles (HMV) from Dimapur to Kohima/Imphal have hampered.


The road blockade due to landslide has resulted in hundreds HMVs stranded at Sechu-Zubza and Khuzama disrupting normal flow of traffic.

In this regard, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie, in a traffic advisory, has informed that no heavy vehicles proceeding from Dimapur-Chümoukedima to Kohima/Imphal would be allowed to proceed beyond Patkai-Chathe River Bridge for a period of 96 hours with immediate effect till the accumulation of vehicles was cleared and normalcy of traffic was restored.
