The Platinum Jubilee celebration of 113 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Rajput, – Territorial Army Day, commenced at Dimapur on October 4. According to PRO and Spokesperson Ministry of Defence, a number of programs have been planned including community development.
As part of the programme, an awareness lectures on employment opportunities in the Territorial Army were organised at Pranab Vidyapith and Women’s College, Dimapur.
Over 750 students attended these lectures. Blood Donation Camp was organised at the District Hospital, Dimapur wherein 50 soldier of the battalion donated blood for the wellbeing of the community. It may be recalled that the Territorial Army Day has been commemorated every year since1949.
