Naagland: BS&G Mokokchung celebrates 75th anniv.

Mokokchung District Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS & G) celebrated its 75th anniversary at P. Shilu Ao Memorial Park, Mokokchung with minister of Rural Development and SIRD, Metsubo Jamir as special guest.


A DIPR report informed that, Metsubo in his speech, maintained that Scouts and Guides movement was one of an unwavering commitment to carry the values- loyalty, courage, kindness and integrity, which are the very fabric of human lives.


He reminded the Scouts and Guides on their responsibilities that will be defined by their willingness and set an example through their commitment and sacrifices.
He said challenges and responsibilities of youths was complex, but reminded them that participation by being a member of Scouts & Guides movement will enable them to become a responsible citizen and leader.


Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung and president Mokokchung District Bharat Scouts & Guides, Thsuvisie Phoji, shorts speeches were delivered by V.K Shah, State Commissioner (S) Nagaland State Bharat scouts & Guides, Sentinenla, DEO & DCC (G) Mokokchung and Moajenba, former scout.


Historical account of Mokokchung District BS & G was presented by Lipomar Lkr DOC (S). BS & G of Ladybird School, presented a special item marking the occasion.
The program was chaired by Sentinenla, ADOC (G), invocation by Rev. Ponen Longchar, pastor MTBA and benediction by Rev. Talijungla, Asso. pastor UBA.


On the occasion, the chief guest also released the jubilee souvenir in presence of host of officials, state BS & G officials from other district, district BS & G officials and Scouts and Guides from Schools under Mokokchung district.
