Sümi Baptist Convention (SBC) comprising of three Sümi Baptist Church Associations namely SBAK Nito-Mount, SABAK, Pughoboto and WSBAK Akuvuto held its 33rd session on October 26 and 27, under the theme “Together we serve” at Usütomi Baptist Church under Zunheboto district.
A press release from, SBC office assistant-cum- cashier Kivika N Rochill (Mulumi) informed that during the session Rev. Dr. Hotokhu P. Zhimo, President, Sümi Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema, executive secretary, Western Sümi Baptsit Akukuhou Küqhakulu and Rev. Dr. Khehovi Shohe, director, Sümi Baptist Convention. Dr. Hutton Sema, pastor, Sümi Baptist Church Zunheboto led the Bible Study and Dr. Vihuto Assumi, pesident, Sümi Hoho, exhorted the congregation.
SBAK Nito- Mount executive secretary, Rev. Kughato K. Chophi, was unanimously elected to be the president of Sümi Baptist Convention. More than 350 pastors under Sümi Baptist Convention from three associations attended the biennial session. Sümi Baptist Convention extended appreciation to the Host Church, Usütomi Baptist Church, participants for the support.
