A special summary revision of electoral rolls began in Nagaland with the district authorities releasing the draft electoral rolls on October 29.
The special summary revisions exercise will be carried out with January 1, 2025 as the qualifying date.
KOHIMA: The Integrated Draft Electoral Roll for the Special Summary Revision was held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Kohima. According to DIPR report, Assistant Electoral Officer, Chisho K Swu, opened the meeting with a welcome address.
During the session, Rhosietho Nguori, ADC and Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima distributed copies of the draft electoral roll to representatives of recognized political parties and to Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) in attendance.
Following the meeting, the Notice of Publication of Electoral Roll in Draft was issued to the Electors of the 8-Western Angami, 9-Kohima Town, 10-Northern Angami-I, 11-Northern Angami-II, 14-Southern Angami-I, and 15-Southern Angami-II Assembly Constituencies.
NOKLAK: Publication of draft electoral roll in connection with special summary revision of photo electoral rolls was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Noklak.
Vikhoto Richa SDO (Civil) & ERO Noklak in his remark requested all the political parties in the district to educate the eligible voters to enroll in the electoral roll.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by EAC &AERO Noklak Manlom Phom. The meeting was attended by various political parties, BLOs and Officials under Noklak district.
MOKOKCHUNG: The event of the Draft Electoral Rolls for all the 10 constituencies under Mokokchung district for Publication was held at DC’ Conference Room, Mokokchung.
DC and District Election Officer, Mokokchung announced that the Draft Electoral Rolls for Mokokchung district will be open for filing claims, objections and inclusion of names starting from October 29 to November 28, 2024. DC & DEO, Mokokchung appealed to the representatives of political parties present, to ensure transparency and practices an error-free Electoral roll for a healthy election in the future.

DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Office, Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang has released the Draft Photo Electoral Roll for the 2025 electoral cycle, with January 1, 2025, as the qualifying date in the presence of representatives from various political parties and local leaders.
Assistant Election Officer Toshimongba Longchar provided key statistics during the event. He reported that Dimapur’s three Assembly constituencies — Dimapur-I, Dimapur-II, and Dimapur-III — saw 2,969 new inclusions and 1,217 deletions in the current draft roll compared to the previous version.
Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, who chaired the program, highlighted the schedule for claims and objections. He said citizens can file claims and objections from October 29 to November 28, 2024. The final electoral roll is slated for release on January 10, 2025.
He urged political parties, local heads, and colony chairpersons to spread awareness of the enrolment campaign dates within their respective communities. LONGLENG: The draft electoral of 49 Tamlu A/C and 50 Longleng, A/C for 2025 was released on October 29 by DEO and Deputy Commissioner Longleng, W. Manpai Phom. In his introductory remarks he said that the draft roll was published on October 29, 2024 as directed by the Election commission of India.
DC said that any eligible citizen who is going to attain the age of 18 years on any of the subsequent qualifying dates in 2025 may file his or her claim for inclusion of his or her name in the roll in advance starting from the date of notice and the same shall be considered and decided in the respective quarter of the year with reference to the respective qualifying date.
Representatives from different political parties attended the meeting and a copy of draft electoral roll was handed to all the parties at DC conference hall.
