MCCI caution against unfair business practices

Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has appealed to all members of the business community in Mokokchung to not indulge in unfair and unethical business practices by taking undue advantage of the festive mood.


MCCI warned that any “traitor” found tarnishing the image of the business community by indulging in unfair means of business shall be dealt with stringently.
Members of business community have also been warned against transporting, stocking and selling firecrackers.


Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also prohibited selling of calendars, tickets of any kind, raffle, buffet vouchers, housie, etc. to members of the business community in the market by any entity.

The business body further said summoning, informing, calling or inviting members of the business community to seek donations and contribution, whether in cash or kind, by any agency – whether government or NGO – in Mokokchung without the knowledge and consent of MCCI “is deemed coercion, which is illegal and therefore not permissible”.


Meanwhile, MCCI has appealed to the members of the business community to not park their vehicles in front of their shops and establishments but to make parking spaces the customers.
