The 25th anniversary celebration cum dedication of the memorial school building of United Christian School (UCS), New Jalukie under Peren district was held on December 3, under the theme, “Mission in Education” marking 25 years of excellence in education and service to the community.
The anniversary celebration and memorial school building, was unveiled by Er. Achakbo Newmai, Technical Advisor, Planning & Transformation and National Highway, after a dedicatory prayer by Rev. Kitanwi Chewang, Executive Secretary of Liangmai Baptist Aruang, Nagaland. Rev. Kitanwi Chewang also released the souvenir.
In his speech, Er. Achakbo reflected his educational journey and shared valuable life lessons with the students, urging them to embrace hard work and discipline to secure a bright future.
He challenged the students to abstain from excessive use of phones, social media, and online games, encouraging them instead to focus on their studies and personal growth for the next 5-10 years to reap lifelong rewards.
He also congratulated the school for the milestone and assured the school community of his prayers and support for their continued success.
Highlights of the celebration included vibrant cultural act, celebrating diversity and tradition by UCS students, Bible reading and prayers by Kuhei, Pastor NJBC, welcome address by Kacham Pamai, Board Chairman of UCS, special song by Liwang Chawang, jubilee blessing by Z. Nampibou, pastor LBP Nkwareu, performance by Pre-Primary Students and brief history of the school by Paramchun, Co-convener.
