Evangelical Theological Colleges Association – Northeast India (ETCA – NEI) held its first annual conference with 18 Colleges’ Principals at Indian Institute of Theological Studies, Church Road, Pilangkata, Guwahati on November 29, 2024.
The Conference was held with the theme: ‘Unity, Fellowship and Discipleship (Acts 2: 42).
Rev. Moses Murry, who graced the occasion as the main speaker for the conference shared briefly on the formation of the association.
He stated that ETCA-NEI’s main focus was to bring together the evangelical theological colleges and institutions in Northeast India, fostering collaboration, mutual support, and to share resources.
ETCA-NEI shall partner with local churches and denominations to promote theological education, pastoral training, community engagement, collaborate with mission organizations to advance the Gospel, support church planting, and facilitate cross-cultural ministry.
To establish partnerships with theological institutions worldwide by enabling students and faculty members for exchange programs with joint research initiatives.
In this connection, ETCA-NEI has invited any evangelical theological colleges or seminaries in Northeast India to apply for membership which have affiliation with Evangelical Denomination and commitment to Evangelical Faith.
Meanwhile, the first office bearers for the 2024-2027 were constituted with Rev. Dr. Kenny Kapfoa as president, Rev. Dr. David Yunusansar as vice president; David Khobung as general secretary; Dr. K. Ethou Martin as joint general secretary; Wangshikokla Jamir as finance secretary and Rev. Yanger Imchem as treasurer. The team also comprised of two advisors: Rev. Moses Murry and Rev. Dr. N. Paphino.
