In connection with the defamatory Facebook post by “The Patriotic Nagas group”, the Ao Senden has resolved to take the matter “to the logical conclusion”.
In a press release, Ao Senden president Marsanen Imsong and general secretary Imtipokyim informed that the resolution was passed at the emergency “Sanen Luden” meeting of Ao Senden held on December 9, 2024.
Ao Senden said the Facebook post insulted Ao Naga community, Dr. S.C. Jamir, defamed, insulted and outraged the modesty of Ao women. It also said the Facebook post was a transgressive act against the Ao Naga traditional values which insulted the Ao Naga Community to the core.
“Hence, this matter will be taken to the logical conclusion as per Ao Naga Custom, Usage and Tradition with the perpetrator/s at Ao Senden Kilem,” Ao Senden affirmed.
In this regard, Ao Senden has cautioned that if any Ao individual or group make any move by word or by deed against its decision, such individual or group would be punished befittingly as per Ao Naga Custom, Usage and Tradition at Ao Senden Kilem.
Meanwhile, Ao Senden has expressed gratitude to the Nagaland governor La Ganesan, DGP Nagaland Rupin Sharma and his subordinate officers of Nagaland police for arresting the person responsible for the Facebook post.
The accused was apprehended in New Delhi on November 30 and subsequently brought to Nagaland, where he is now in judicial custody.
