The State government has officially appointed the 93 individuals as government nominee members to various Municipal and Town Councils (3 municipal and 22 town councils).
In a notification, additional secretary Municipal Affairs Department, T Nchumbemo Odyuo said that as per provisions of Sec 10 (4) and 22 (5) of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2023, nominees shall have the right to attend and speak at meetings of respective Municipal/ Town Councils but shall have no right to vote and their tenure shall be co-terminus with the ULBs.
The nominees for Dimapur Municipal Council: Tiajungla, Nekensashi, Enoch Wotsa, Margaret Ngullie, Ihoto K Shohe, Mahesh Agarwal, Huska Sumi and Lezovor Keditsu. Chümoukedima Town Council: Longshithung Kikon, Neichüu Kuotsu, Neiphrolie Chatsu and Yangerjungla Jamir.
