A devastating fire broke out in a godown at Thahekhu village in the early hours of Monday, leaving the structure completely destroyed.

According to officials from the West Fire Station, the distress call came in at around 1:58 a.m. Prompt action saw five fire tenders dispatched to the site—two from the West Fire Station and three from the Central Fire Station. Firefighters battled the blaze for nearly two hours, with two tenders requiring refueling during the operation.

Preliminary reports suggest the fire was caused by a short circuit. Goods worth over Rs. 60 lakh were destroyed, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
