The two-day, 60th annual session of Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN) held under the theme, “Nature & Nurture: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders” concluded on January 5, 2025 at JSUN Central Park.
Speaking on the concluding day, Rev. Dr Mongzeung Mpom highlighted the indispensable role of nature in human existence, reminding that nature was not just a resource but a lifeline that must be preserved and respected. Rev. Dr Mpom also stressed that human habits are the building blocks of success, and encouraged the youth to adopt disciplined routines, set higher standards, and continually strive for growth. Reminding that ambition without action is futile, he said true success requires persistence, resilience, and a clear vision.
Earlier, the program commenced with an invocation by Ariebe Hingleu and chaired by Kesuihakle. The program also witnessed felicitation of HSLC and HSSLC merit candidates.
Special presentation by Pauram Mpom and vote of thanks by Ileukaibe were the other highlights of the programme. The two-day event witnessed interactive sessions, nature walk, tree sapling plantation and thought-provoking discussions, the session underscored the importance of equipping the youth with values, skills, and knowledge to safeguard the environment.
